My management team are not traditional managers, they have grown into their roles within the company and therefore were very knowledgeable in their area of expertise. I approached Jo to help with training that can focus on what we needed as a team including leadership styles, approaches, conflict management and importantly coaching. We did the course over 3 months, giving the team time to digest and use the tools that were being discussed. The outcome has been amazing with each manager turning into a leader. Some tangible impact seen in the teams:

• We had a team who was chronically late on tasks and delayed projects, costing us money. The root cause was because the manager couldn’t deal with the conflict that arose when discussing late delivery, after the training, the team has not delivered a single project late, the team members reported in their last check-ins that they feel cohesive as a team and happy at work
• Another team had lots of junior team members, so the manager would just take a task over if someone wasn’t delivering, which led to the team remaining under skilled and the manager burning out. That has changed, he delegates, gives team members the ability to learn the skill and in due course 2 team members have grown so strong technically that they were promoted to senior roles and the customer satisfaction rate for the team has been at 100% for months now
• Senior management check-ins have reduced to 30 min a week, with the management team feeling equipped to make decisions and speak up when they need assistance instead of just including senior management in all interactions

This wasn’t just training, it was the right intervention our group needed to 1. Grow our managers and 2. Equip our managers but most importantly let that filter down to all the team members, so that we make our employees and in turn clients happy
